Messe Frankfurt names new managing director for accente
From April 1, 2023, Oliver Schell will be responsible for the business of accente, together with long-standing managing director Holger Schuster. Again a case for two in Frankfurt and continuing in the proven style of dual leadership. Just as before with Johann Thoma, who will take his well-deserved retirement as planned from July 2023 after a transitional phase.
There is a lot to do for accente. Now more than ever. Although the first events in 2023 at the Frankfurt exhibition centre were very successful again, the challenges have increased after the almost complete standstill at the time of the pandemic. accente wants to return to profitability. At the same time, it has to maintain the high quality standards and demands, to push sales and to secure growth. All of this under the current difficult circumstances in the catering industry.
A wide range of tasks and goals that Oliver Schell will address. Certainly with success. Because Schell is predestined to lead accente into the future, a large complex entity where there is everything but routine. This is supported on the one hand by the fact that the trained businessman and experienced manager comes from the groups own ranks and can look back to 16 years employment with Messe Frankfurt. On the other hand, it is his nature, his personal diversity, which make him so suitable for the accente multi-cultural family with its more than 300 permanent employees and up to 2,000 temporary employees of all kinds.
First, learn and understand, then act. That is the starting position for "the new guy" at accente. Oliver Schell wants to be a listener first, who then increasingly becomes a contact partner. Always with an open ear and always open for clear words and honest feedback. At eye level. The boss is only as good as the well-coordinated team being behind him. Honesty, appreciation, togetherness are his motto. And joint action, thinking ahead, looking ahead and beyond.
In short: accente's success story continues!

Viele Gebäude der Stadt wurden passend zum Anlass mit grünem Licht angestrahlt, auch das Accente-Wirtshaus Depot 1899 in Sachsenhausen erstrahlte grün. Im großen Saal des Wirtshauses wurde zudem exklusiv die Krimifolge „Grüne Soße“ aus der Reihe „Ein Fall für Zwei“ gezeigt.
Das Angebot reicht von Salaten, veganen und vegetarischen Gerichten über Pasta und Fleisch vom Grill bis hin zu Fischspezialitäten. Der vegetarische und vegane Bereich ist sehr präsent positioniert und nimmt somit den aktuellen Markttrend an.

Die feierliche Übergabe der Trophäe erfolgte anlässlich des diesjährigen Tourbesuchs am 2. Dezember 2015 in der Festhalle im Beisein von Johannes Oerding, zweier Beach Boys und Paul Humphreys von OMD. Accente hat auch diesmal zur VIP-Party erneut ein Catering der Spitzenklasse geboten und hofft auf eine weitere Trophäe – vielleicht schon in diesem Jahr!?!
