• accente at the Eurobike 2023

    Enjoyable moments for cycling enthusiasts

Eurobike is the central platform of the bike and future mobility universe.
The focus lies on the bicycle as a central component of the mobility, energy and transport transition. The key themes are not just about sport, leisure and health. Rather, it is also about the challenges of digitalization, urbanization, social change and, last but not least, climate change. Therefore, sustainability is the main thematic bracket at Eurobike, standing in the middle of the program and one‘s own actions.

Sustainability in thought and action. This is also the guiding principle at accente. By conviction and responsibility for the future. This is why accente launched the Green Catering sustainability initiative back in 2013. In the bicycle industry, as in all other industries, the conscious and careful use of the environment and resources is existential in every sense of the word. The motto is to protect the climate and successfully combine ecology and economy. In detail, at accente this means, among other things, avoiding waste and surplus, using emission-free vehicles on the exhibition grounds, short distances, as production, logistics and service are located directly on the exhibition grounds.

Green catering on the plate and in the glass translates to: Fruit, vegetables, meat and fish ideally from the region and according to the season. Water, juices and wines also from nearby regions. Fair textiles from Europe, sustainably manufactured tableware from Germany, disposable tableware made from ecological materials.
And last but not least: With Brainfood, accente offers the ideal complement to Green Catering with dishes that have been specially developed to promote well-being and mental and physical fitness. Healthy, easily digestible. Energy that is not a burden, but offers full enjoyment. Perfect for every trade fair visitor, exhibitor and every cyclist in the world.

Over five days, Eurobike provides 1,900 exhibitors and over 65,000 visitors with a framework for information, inspiration and personal encounters. And because seeing, marveling and test riding make you hungry and thirsty, accente offers everything your heart desires in terms of food, drink and enjoyment at Eurobike with 17 cafés/bistros, 6 restaurants, the outdoor area with 27 serving points/food trucks and the supply of hot and cold food to almost 100 trade fair stands. Here is a glimpse into the range on offer:

Outdoor dining: If you're looking for something quick, on the go or for a short break. Curry sausage, crêpe and grilled food are always good. An ice cream, a coffee and a beer, of course. In addition to these classics, more exclusive dishes from all over the world are also offered. For example, from Indian, Lebanese or Italian cuisine.

Restaurants: For those who want a larger portion, want to take their time, simply sit down and enjoy. 5 of the 6 restaurants offer self-service, one with full service. International dishes include red Thai curry with turkey or paella with chicken, pollock, seafood and vegetables as well as couscous salad with tomatoes, cucumber, smoked tofu and pomegranate seeds. On the other hand, the typical regional dish is the Frankfurter schnitzel, breaded and served with Frankfurt green sauce.

At accente, everything is always freshly prepared. And because the kitchen is on the premises, the food is delivered piping hot.
Could it be any fresher? Absolutely! Especially at Restaurant Granello. The special feature here is the LIVE WOK BUFFET. A Thai tom kha gai soup or a selection of summery salads with various dressings and toppings are offered as a starter to satisfy the first hunger pangs. Then it's on to the highlight, the main course, which is prepared in the wok right in front of the guest. And for the final, fruity red fruit jelly with vanilla sauce, mango mousse with a liquid center and various cakes are available.

Whether exhibitors, guests or accente employees, there's only one drink that could be more fitting for toasting a successful Eurobike - a Radler.
