Tomorrow is another day. And it will hopefully be another good day. For us, therefore, sustainability is not a PR gimmick and no greenwash. For us, it is the leitmotiv in which we believe. Make ecology and economy a successful combination, protect resources and the climate the natural way. These are dramatic challenges for us and the future generations. We are happy to face them. Actually, with our sustainability initiative Green Catering, we have been doing so since 2013. We are getting ever closer to the target of comprehensive sustainability. Day by day.
Things are better close to home
For the catering at large events such as trade fairs, congresses or other events, this means: use fresh seasonal produce grown locally, of organic quality, wherever possible. This goes for meals as much as for beverages: Mineral water from Bad Vilbel near Frankfurt, juices from regional and seasonal fruit and vegetables, coffee and tea from fair trade sources and organic cultivation, wines from the Rheingau, to mention but a few.
Less is more
Unnecessary packaging materials, small or single-serving packages have no place with accente. Distances are short because accente has its production, logistics and service directly in the fairgrounds. Our electric vehicles are the first choice when it comes to fast transportation, these are in constant use. And saving of resources, energy efficiency and consistent avoidance of waste and excess quantities by realistic calculation of portions are self-understood.
Despite sustainability, another priority should not be neglected: good taste. That’s why our professional cooks create innovative delicacies for highest culinary delights and widest variety. And variety includes that vegetarian, vegan, kosher, halal meals are prepared and allergies and incompatibilities are taken into account where necessary.
